Refund Policy

1️⃣ GENERAL POLICY

[Full Company Name] Ltd provides introduction and coordination services only.

Refund eligibility depends on the type of service purchased.

All refund decisions are subject to this policy.


2️⃣ RENTAL INTRODUCER SERVICES (LANDLORDS ONLY)

Nature of Service

We act strictly as an introducer between landlords and prospective tenants.

We do not:

  • Conduct referencing
  • Negotiate tenancy terms
  • Collect rent or deposits
  • Manage properties
  • Act as a letting agent under the Estate Agents Act 1979

Our service is complete upon successful introduction (exchange of contact details).


When Fee Is Earned

The introduction fee becomes payable when:

  • A tenancy agreement is entered into with a tenant introduced by us; or
  • The landlord proceeds with a tenant we introduced within 24 months of introduction.

Refunds (Rental)

Introduction fees are non-refundable once:

  • An introduction has been made; or
  • A tenancy agreement is signed; or
  • The landlord proceeds with the introduced tenant.

We are not responsible for:

  • Tenant conduct
  • Early tenancy termination
  • Non-payment of rent
  • Property disputes

No refund will be issued due to tenancy performance issues.


3️⃣ TUITION SERVICES

Nature of Service

We provide tutoring services either directly or by arranging qualified tutors.


Refunds (Tuition)

✔ Before First Lesson

If cancellation occurs at least 48 hours before the first scheduled lesson, a full refund may be issued.

✔ After Lessons Have Begun

  • No refund for completed sessions.
  • Missed lessons without 24-hour notice are non-refundable.
  • Prepaid lesson packages are non-refundable once partially used.

✔ Tutor Replacement

If a tutor becomes unavailable, we may offer:

  • A replacement tutor; or
  • A refund for unused prepaid sessions.

4️⃣ HOME MAINTENANCE COORDINATION

Nature of Service

We coordinate introductions between clients and independent contractors.

We do not:

  • Carry out works ourselves (unless explicitly stated)
  • Guarantee contractor performance
  • Provide warranties on contractor services

Refunds (Home Maintenance)

✔ Introduction/Coordination Fee

Our coordination fee is non-refundable once:

  • Contractor details are provided; or
  • Work has been arranged.

✔ Contractor Payments

Payments made directly to contractors are subject to the contractor’s own refund policy.

We are not responsible for:

  • Quality of workmanship
  • Delays
  • Contractor disputes

5️⃣ COOLING-OFF RIGHTS (If Applicable)

Where services are purchased online or at a distance, cancellation rights may apply under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.

However:

If the client requests that services begin within the 14-day cooling-off period and the service is fully performed, the right to cancel may be lost.


6️⃣ DISPUTES & CHARGEBACKS

Unjustified payment reversals may result in:

  • Debt recovery action
  • Statutory interest under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998
  • Recovery of administrative and legal costs

7️⃣ LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

Our total liability is limited to the fee paid for the specific service.

We do not accept liability for indirect or consequential losses.
